Vision for Learners

Vision for Learners
Working in parallel with the Endeavor Way, the Vision for Learners articulates what learning looks like at Endeavour College. It provides an overview of the key attributes we like to see explored in all learning areas. It is centred around three key principles: Independence, Interdependence and Collective Action. These are broken down into qualities and practices that reflect students' progress and development through the middle and senior years.
Digital Devices
The College has a clear and effective Digital Devices Policy that requires students to keep their mobile phones "off and away" between the start and the end of each school day. More and more research-based data is emerging that students need time away from devices so that they can develop social skills, rest their eyes, and reflect on their learning. Technology can be a powerful tool in the classroom but it should not be a default and students can expect to have some 'laptops closed' lessons.
Progressions Policy
As part of ensuring students are choosing subjects to which they are most suited and in line with College strategic directions of building a thriving learning culture of excellence and purpose, the College has created a Progressions Policy to support the transition of students between subjects and year level. In essence, students need to maintain a good attendance record, pass each subject and achieve a satisfactory attitude notation, to gain automatic entry to the subject in the following year. We are looking forward to working with students to continue to meet and exceed their learning goals for 2026.
