Principal’s Christmas Message – Farewell to 2025
As we come to the end of the 2025 school year, I want to take a moment to thank every student, staff member and family for your contributions to another remarkable year at Kingswood Primary School. Your involvement may have come in the form of volunteering on School Council, Parent Association, excursions, camps, kitchen duties, classroom support, or in a myriad of other ways. With all sincerity, I would just like to say thank you.
Such a Good Year – We are here for the students
This year has been defined by deep learning, meaningful relationships and vibrant community engagement. From the academic progress of our students to the way we’ve come together for events like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations, our numerous Learning Expos, Junior Sports Day, student vs teacher sports, Art Show, Book Week events, camps and many, many more — these moments have strengthened our sense of belonging and shared purpose. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and supported these occasions throughout the year.
Year 6 Graduates – Lead the way
To our Year 6 graduates, congratulations. You leave with not just memories, but the knowledge that you’ve made your mark here. We are proud of who you are and excited for who you will become. Go forward with courage, confidence and care.
Workforce Planning – We thrive in a team culture
We also, unfortunately, need to bid a heartfelt farewell to several staff members who are leaving Kingswood at the end of this week. To Amy Scullin, Jenna Herbert, Courtney Stelling, Natalie Potenzi and Nathan Stone — thank you for your professionalism, kindness and unwavering commitment to your students and colleagues. Your individual contributions have helped shape our school culture and made a difference in the lives of many. You will be missed and remembered with great appreciation.
Student Achievements – A place to shine
A few weeks ago, Sophie M, represented our Hebrew School at the Greg Sher Award — an annual recognition that honours leadership, kindness, community spirit and a genuine commitment to helping others. We are very proud to share that Sophie won the award. Sophie is a much-loved and respected student in the program and this achievement reflects her positive attitude, kindness towards others and strong sense of community.
Tess L, 4S
A big congratulations to Tess L on receiving her Super Speak Honour Award. This award is presented to students who have completed 4 years of Public Speaking & Communication Skills training at Super Speak (equivalent to 160 hours) and presented 24 formal solo speeches.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year – Connected to community
As we enter the festive season, I encourage everyone to pause, reflect and enjoy time with loved ones. Please remain safe and take the opportunity to rest and recharge.
We look forward to welcoming all our returning and new families back at the end of January 2026, ready for another year of learning, laughter and growth. We will also celebrate 50 years of Kingswood in 2026 — a significant milestone in our school’s proud history.
Wishing you a joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
