Principal Report
Mr. Lehane
It has been a fantastic start to 2026, with all of our students returning refreshed, a little taller, and full of enthusiasm for learning. It has been especially wonderful to welcome our four new Foundation students — Willa, Charlotte, Sebastian and Hudson — into our school community.
Over the first two weeks, we have been revisiting our learning expectations and focusing on making our school environment as positive, safe and engaging as it can be. The year ahead promises to be filled with many fun and exciting opportunities for our students, and we are very much looking forward to what 2026 has in store.
School supplied lunches will now be on a Monday, this ties in with our cooking program.
Next week kicks off with Spaghetti Bolognaise which the students will make themselves with Miss Coffey. On the weeks there is no cooking staff will organise lunches as usual.

We are very pleased to share that Bridgewater Primary School has been successful in securing two Active Schools grants, totalling $33,000 ($30,000 and $3,000). This is a fantastic outcome for our school and a wonderful opportunity to further enhance physical activity and student wellbeing.
We look forward to working closely with our students to plan how this funding will be used to improve physical activity opportunities at Bridgewater Primary School. By involving student voice in the planning process, we aim to create engaging, inclusive, and meaningful experiences that support healthy, active lifestyles for all students.

This February, Marley is taking part in The Big Bold Swim to support breast cancer research and save lives.
Did you know that 56 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every day? It's heart-breaking.
Marley is swimming to raise funds for Breast Cancer Trials to find new and better treatments and prevention strategies for every person affected by breast cancer to save lives today, tomorrow and forever.
Please support her by sponsoring her challenge.
Every dollar helps.
Together, we can create a world where NO MORE lives are cut short by breast cancer.

e are thrilled to confirm that our Grade 3–6 camp for 2026 is officially booked! Students from Bridgewater Primary School will be joining our friends from Inglewood Primary School for an unforgettable outdoor adventure at Camp Sunnystones, from March 18 to 20.
Set on a stunning 50-acre property near Merrimu in Western Victoria, Camp Sunnystones provides the perfect bushland environment for students to learn, explore, grow, and have fun.
At Camp Sunnystones, students will participate in a fully led outdoor education program designed to build key life skills while having a fantastic time. Activities include a mix of:
Creative and reflective experiences such as bush art and bush cooking, adding variety, creativity, and plenty of camp spirit to each day
The experiential learning that takes place at camp goes well beyond the classroom. Students develop self-reliance and social skills, form new friendships, and create lasting memories in an inspiring outdoor setting.
We are very much looking forward to an incredible camp experience filled with learning, fun, and adventure. More information will be shared with families in the coming weeks.
