Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships (RRRR)

As part of our whole-school approach to wellbeing, we continue to implement the Victorian Department of Education Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program. This evidence-based teaching and learning resource helps students build respect, resilience, and confidence by promoting positive attitudes, behaviours, and social skills.
The program is taught at every year level across the school, with age appropriate content delivered in Foundation, building all the way up to Year Six. RRRR focuses on eight key areas of Social and Emotional Learning:
Emotional Literacy
Personal and Cultural Strengths
Positive Coping
Problem-Solving
Stress Management
Help-seeking
Gender Norms and Stereotypes
Positive Gender Relationships
To start Term Three, students will be focusing on the topics of Help-Seeking and Gender Norms and Stereotypes. Through the topic of Help-seeking, students learn how to seek support for themselves and others, recognise the importance of peer support, and develop the confidence to ask for help when needed. Through the topic of Gender Norms and Stereotypes, students explore gender identity, challenge stereotypes, and learn to value and respect diversity and difference. These lessons support students in building inclusive, respectful relationships.
Respectful Relationships education is a mandated component of the Victorian Curriculum and is taught in all Victorian Government schools. If you’d like to learn more about the RRRR program, please feel free to get in touch. We truly value working in partnership with families to support the mental health and wellbeing of our community.
