All Prep to Year 6 students have been enrolled in the 2026 Premiers’ Reading Challenge. This is a personal challenge as opposed to a competition. This year’s theme is ‘Stories to Discover’. Stories can inspire and challenge us and help us grow. They open our eyes to new worlds and new ways of thinking. All children who complete the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former premiers. Log in details will be placed in all Junior School Diaries. Parents can use this log in to record the books read. Texts read in classes will also be added by teachers.
Next Thursday, 2 April, Learmonth House will be running a fundraiser to donate funds to Rural Aid, an organisation that supports farmers impacted by natural disasters. It is a casual clothes day, where students are asked to come dressed as a farmer, and to bring a gold coin donation. There will be a Bake Sale outside the Music room at recess, where students can purchase homemade cakes, biscuits, and slices. At lunch, there will be farmer relay activities on the oval.
Congratulations to our Under 12B and Under 14B Girls’ teams who have made their way into the Hamilton Basketball Association’s Summer Season Grand Finals. Both teams will be in action on Friday afternoon. Best of luck to both teams and well done on your seasons.

The Junior School ANZAC Day Service will be held on Thursday, 23 April at 2.30pm in the Refectory. All our Year 6 students will contribute to this Service. Parents are most welcome to attend.
On Saturday 25 April, all Junior School students are welcome to march with the College in the Hamilton ANZAC Day Service, commencing at 10.00am.
Last Thursday, the Junior School Athletics team, comprising over 40 students from Year 3-6, competed in the HDSA Athletics Carnival held at Mitchell Park. Our students performed exceptionally well on the track and in the field, and should be very proud of their attitudes and efforts!
