Year 10 French

Spreading Love Through Acts of Kindness in French
This Valentine’s Day, our Year 10 French students celebrated love in a special way—not just as romance, but as everyday kindness. Instead of focusing on traditional Valentine’s themes, we explored “l’amour” through thoughtful gestures and encouraging words.
To start, students wrote compliments and uplifting messages to each other in French on post-it notes, which they proudly displayed on our classroom board. Then, they took on kindness challenges, drawing cards that assigned them small but meaningful tasks. From slipping a sweet note in French into a library book to helping a friend study, picking up rubbish around school, writing a thank you card to someone, repairing something, or simply sharing, each student found a way to brighten someone’s day.
Not only did this activity reinforce their French writing skills, but it also created a heartwarming atmosphere in the class and in the school.
It was wonderful to see students embrace the idea that love can be shown in many ways—through words, actions, and thoughtful gestures.
Bravo à tous!
