Principal's Message
Linda Buckeridge: Principal
We warmly welcome the successful candidates from the recent nominations held for the Hillsmeade School Council: Michelle Dennison, Kathryn Muscat and Maya Pinn.
They join our current councillors: Carmen Powell, Phillip Arnold, Anna White, Craig Harrison, Stewart Johnson and Naomi Bartlett.
I look forward to working with our entire council, especially this year, being our school review and creation of a new Strategic Plan for the next 3-4 years.
If at anytime you require a school policy, please don't hesitate to visit our school website HERE. If the policy you require is not available, feel free to contact the school and we will endeavour to provide you with what you need. At anytime you can provide feedback or have input into our school policies, which are developed based on the Department of Education's recommendations and exemplars. To provide feedback you can directly contact the school or speak to a member of school council.
We ask you to please assist us with the Parent Volunteer Payment.
At the end of last year we sent out information for 2025 about the book pack and volunteer payments. We ask very kindly that you please at least pay for the book packs we have provided students at a cost of $50 per student for everything they need for the whole year.
Unfortunately, the School Savings Bonus CANNOT be used to cover the cost of book packs and also cannot be used for the voluntary payments.
So we ask that you help us out a bit with your valued contribution to keep the school running! Thank you so much in advance!!

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy, describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.
We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use (Microsoft 365)safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using (Microsoft 365), please contact the school.

This year we will once again have scheduled times for families to meet with class teachers after school hours. We have upgraded the title of these meetings to be called FAMILY-TEACHER CONVERSATIONS. These occur at the start of Term 2, and end of Term 3 each year. We encourage families to bring their child along to these conversations to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding the goals and outcomes the students are trying to achieve.

Just a reminder that yard supervision finishes at 3.30pm. All students in the yard without an adult supervising them will be required to attend the office, where school staff will support a handover to an adult listed on Compass.
A reminder that we have TeamKids available as our new OSHC program, both before and after school. If you require any information regarding this, please reach out to the school and we can provide you with the necessary details.
