Please meet our School Leaders for 2025
Amy Van Rensburg and Estelle Rocca McMahon.
Hi, my name is Amy, and I am so honoured to be given the chance to represent St. Michael's this year as one of our School Leaders.
As one of the school leaders, I am going to set the example of a St Michael's student, who will take on responsibilities, treat everyone with respect, and have confidence in each other so that we can all do the right thing.
A little about myself: I love art and love to draw and create. I also love the drums and have recently been included in the St Michael's Rock Band. In my spare time, I love to go camping with my family, and I'm very excited to have the opportunity to bring the best out of St Michael's and, in return, the best of all of us.
- Amy Van Rensburg
My name is Estelle Rocca McMahon, and I am one of the school captains at St Michael's for 2025.
As a leader, I want to set a good example to the students here at St Michael's to represent our following values: I am a Learner, Responsible, Respectful, and Safe. At St Michael's, I will show justice!
I am 11 years old and have been going to St Michael's for 7 years, since I was in Prep. I have always tried to set a good example for our community and students. My favourite subjects are Religion, Art, and Writing. Outside of school, I play a sport called netball. I have been playing netball for nearly 4 years, and I play for the team North Melbourne. One of my favourite interests is Music. It is my 2nd year in a rock band playing drums and guitar! It is my passion to keep playing in the future.
I am very Excited for the year ahead and also for St Michael's!
Thank you for reading.

Congratulations to ADJIN COSIC - Year 6, on receiving the Grey Wolf Award from the Scouts Association, Kensington!
The Grey Wolf is the peak award for the Cub Section in Scouting. There are six parts to the award, and not all Cubs get it. I did special interest projects, outdoor adventure skills, and badgework, attended a leadership course, led a four-hour Adventurous Journey, and went to weekly Cub meetings. From this experience, I learned that with a good community and supporting parents, you can achieve great things.
Well done, Adjin; we are all so proud of you.
District Swimming
Last week, our Year 4-6 students represented our school at the district swimming competition, competing against other schools in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. Everyone gave it their all and performed brilliantly! A special congratulations to Makoto from Year 5, who has qualified for the next round - well done!
