Dear Families,
What glorious weather we are experiencing across this past week!! How blessed are we!!
Thank you to everyone for your support with the school photos held on Monday! SchoolPix will send us your 'photo orders' in the coming weeks and we will distribute accordingly.
You are still able to order photos online.
Thank you to the many families from Foundation and Year 6 who came to our 'Clapping in and Year 6 Badge ceremony' last Thursday. It was a beautiful occasion.
May we always be a school full of welcome, compassion and support!
Our Opening School Mass last Friday also provided opportunity to invite blessing upon our school community, as we launched the 'Jubilee Year of Hope' with our theme 'Lets Pray.'
Car Park: Beginning and End of Day
As many of you are aware the Parish carpark can get very busy. Wherever we park, we must keep safety as our number one priority. We need to be extra vigilant and patient.
Perhaps for some of the older students you may wish to use the 'Kiss and Drop' in St Johns Way (at the back of the school) .
Parents are are also able to park at the back of the school in the surrounding streets or the Dunoon St carpark and walk your child into the school grounds
Parish Carpark:
Walk your child into the school grounds /pick up from the grounds or gate. Students should not walk across the carpark unsupervised.
Gates:
Opened by 8:30am / 3pm
Closed at 8:50am / 3:30pm
Staff Supervision:
Assembly/Basketball court outside staffroom 8:30am - 8:40am (when music starts)
At Parish Carpark and Back Gate:
8:30am - 8:50am
Entry into Classrooms:
From 8:40am (when the music begins) until 8:45am (Students have been informed which door they should enter from)
Late:
Students are deemed late after 8:45am.
Go to the office for a late pass.
SJV Community Carnival
Tomorrow (Thursday) students are able to wear casual clothes and to bring a gold coin. This is to raise money as we prepare for the Community Carnival.
Saturday 29th March 2025 - School Grounds

GEM Awards
This week at assembly Esther won a Gratitude award for being enthusiastic and helpful all around the school especially in the playground and in the classroom.
M-City Presentation
This week Jenny Birt from M-City came to our assembly to present the school with our $200 prize from the Christmas Tree Art competition at the end of last year. Thank you, M-City!
Secondhand Uniform
We need DONATIONS of secondhand uniforms. If you wish to donate uniform that your child, no longer fits please bring these to the office.

Dresses/Jumpers/Jackets - $10.00 each
Cash or EFTPOS payment accepted.
Each week students can join in supporting the environment by collecting bottles and cans If they use the code below money is shared with SJV Gardening Club -Return it Recycling. The class that donates the most wins a free dress day and a whole class day.

There is a reported case of headlice in the school. Please ensure you check your child's hair and treat accordingly. Checking your child's hair regularly is important.
