2025 Mazenod House Swimming Carnival

On Monday 24 February and Wednesday 26 February, students will be participating in the annual House Swimming Carnival. They will have the opportunity to participate in the and win points for their affiliated House, as well as earn selection in the ACC Interschool Swimming Squad.

Students will attend normal timetabled classes for the lessons other than those for their carnival.

Students will have the opportunity to nominate for different events and divisions during their House Assembly on Monday of Week 3. Year 7s will be placed in events and divisions based on their results at the Year 7 Swimming Trials. 

Spectators are welcome to attend the carnival.

WHAT TO BRING: Water bottle, sunscreen, towel, goggles, bathers 

UNIFORM: Students can wear their House PE uniform TO AND FROM school on the day of their carnival. (House Shirt and school shorts, tracksuit if required). Please bring dry shorts and underwear to change into after the carnival. Students are allowed to wear their club or personal proper swimming bathers, the Mazenod College swimming bathers or their PE sports shorts to swim in.

Tennis Training

The College will be offering free tennis coaching sessions for 5 weeks starting on Monday 17th February at 7:15am on the College courts. Any students who are interested, are invited to attend, in particular those students who are looking at competing in the College Tennis Championships and the interschool tennis team. 

The 2025 School Tennis Championships are on: Friday 21st Feb (Juniors (7-12) 3:40 – 5:30pm (numbers depending). 

Students are reminded that the standard of competition is very high and ONLY students who have played tennis are encouraged to nominate. If you have any questions please see Mr Mason in the PE office. 

Nominations forms can be collected from the gymnasium noticeboard or Mr Mason and are to be returned by Monday, 17 February (Week 3)

Swimming Training

Students are reminded that swimming training will start on Tuesday 18 February (Week 3) at 7:00am at the College pool. All students are encouraged to attend, especially those who made the ACC team last year. If you have any questions please see Mr Mason or Mr Mallon.

Sports Calendar

Mouthguards 2025 

The College is offering professionally fitted mouthguards. Fittings will happen during lunchtime and can be collected by the students before the holidays.

Attached is the mouthguard form with information regarding fittings and cost. If you are interested, please fill in the attached form and return to Chris Mason at the College via email or have your son/s drop off to Mr Mason in the PE office.
