Grade 5 and 6 Camp in Melbourne
Our Grade 5 and 6 students recently enjoyed a fantastic camp in Melbourne, making memories that will last a lifetime! The camp was a wonderful experience for all, filled with exciting activities and opportunities to explore the city. Our students did a remarkable job representing St Mary’s Primary, showing respect, kindness, and school spirit throughout their time away. They made us proud with their behaviour and the way they engaged with others, even meeting new friends from St Liborius Primary School. It was great to see our students connect with their peers from another community, building friendships and sharing experiences. Thanks to Miss Fenwick for her care of the students whilst they were away.
Staff Professional Learning
Our dedicated teachers have been working hard behind the scenes, preparing for 2025 with professional learning sessions focusing on literacy and numeracy. This work is part of the Magnify Project, an initiative by Catholic Education Sandhurst designed to enhance educational outcomes in our school. The teachers' commitment to their ongoing development ensures that our programs will continue to provide high-quality learning experiences for all students.
IDHS Community Garden Workshop
Today, our senior students participated in a hands-on workshop at the IDHS Community Garden. This experience gave them a chance to learn about sustainability and the benefits of growing local produce. It was an enriching opportunity to connect with the community, understand the importance of the environment, and gain practical skills in gardening.
Upcoming Dates to Remember
We encourage families to note these dates in their calendars. Learning Conversations will be a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, and we look forward to seeing many of you at the Inglewood Alive Festival. Please be reminded that the 4th of November will be a pupil-free day.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to sharing more exciting news in our next newsletter!
