Performing Arts

Throughout Term 2 and 3, students in Grade 4 worked hard on their special projects in collaboration with the Dream Big Youth Music Festival. This event was linked with 'RuOK?' day.

The event was live streamed on 'RuOK?' day to many other schools and communities. We had a little watching party in the music room with both classes.

Grade 4A worked with Miss Jasmine to plan, story board, audio record and film a music video to the song 'Superheroes'.

Grade 4B worked with artist-in-residence, musician John Lane, to write a song called 'Being Alive'. They also joined Miss Jasmine to audio record and film a music video for their song.

Physical Education

On Tuesday 10th September, a small group of students headed to the District Athletics event. Congratulations to all students who participated:

STEM

What a term! It has been a busy couple of weeks in STEM. We have been learning about algorithms - Grade 1 and 2 students made their own jumping game on OctoStudio and Grade 4 students made a 'Guess my number' game on Scratch! Grade 3 students have collected data and created their own 'block' graphs on Minecraft. Grade 5 and 6 students have been conducting research about our solar system. I am looking forward to a fantastic Term 4!

Long Service Leave Update

I wanted to let you know that I will be on Long Service Leave for the rest of the term.

During this time, the young artists at our school will be in the capable hands of Miss Kylie. I’ve left some exciting projects for the students to get stuck into, and I’m confident they’ll continue to create wonderful artwork while I’m away.

I look forward to seeing all the amazing work they’ll produce when I return!

Warm regards, Aasta
