Caritas Courage Cup - Friday 20th September

We are looking forward to the second annual Staff and Student Caritas Courage Cup football match with two teams of Years 10-12 students and staff from across the College taking part on the last day of this term.

Following last year’s inaugural event, there will be all the ‘traditions’ of this great day.  If last year’s game is anything to go by, the crowd can look forward to being entertained by an exciting blend of skill, sportsmanship, mateship and fun.

If you are free at lunchtime next Friday, please come down to the Kyabram Recreation Reserve to help cheer on our teams.

Sacramental Students

Congratulations to our 2024 Sacramental students from St Augustine's Kyabram and St Patrick's Tongala.

These students celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist last Sunday, receiving their First Holy Communion.  This special occasion was shared with their families, Father Uday and Bishop Shane Mackinlay.

Arts and Design Technology Showcase

Have you started working on your entry?

As we wrap up Term 3 and look forward to Term 4, students and staff from the Arts and Design Technology Learning Area have been busy preparing for our annual Arts and Design Technology Showcase event to be held in Week 5 of Term 4.

The event will be held in the Brigidine Centre and will be open to the public on Thursday 31st October from 6.00-8.00pm.

This exhibition will showcase student work from Foundation to Year 12 and will include pieces that have been designed, manufactured and created in Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design, Media, Technology Wood and Metal, Food Technology and Performing Arts.

This year our Arts and Design Technology showcase will be opened by local artist, Marion Langford. Marion has over two decades of experience as a talented artist working with oils and acrylics and more recently, ceramic and sculpture.

We look forward to welcoming Marion to our College and hearing more about her career and art work when she joins us on the evening.

So, how do I enter the 2024 Arts and Design Technology Showcase?

There are two ways to enter your work in the Showcase.

1. Your teacher will select work created in class.

2. You can enter work completed outside of the classroom in one or more of the following categories:

  • Collaborative entry (get a group of friends together and create something spectacular)
  • Individual creations of any media (paper, mixed media, wood, glass, metal, photography, Lego etc.)

Entries must be submitted to your teacher by Friday 18th October.

We look forward to seeing your wonderful creations!
