How to Support Your Child's Wellbeing at Home
As parents and carers, you’re already doing lots of things to support your child’s wellbeing. You can continue to support your child’s overall wellbeing by developing and promoting:
- healthy sleeping habits
- healthy eating habits
- physical activity
- strong and nurturing relationships
- positive self-talk and providing praise, encouragement
- mindfulness, kindness and gratitude
- social and emotional skills
- seeking help
Smile Squad is coming to this school
The Smile Squad team from DPV Health are coming to our school soon.
Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program.
This means all students can get a free dental check-up, preventive services, and treatment at school.
How to access free dental care
We need your consent before we can provide services. Consent is usually provided by a parent or guardian.

Please complete and submit the consent form by the 18th of October2024 (digital consent and paper consent forms)
Paper copies of the consent form are available. Please contact the school office if you would like to request one.
The electronic consent form can be translated into more than 100 languages, and the paper form is only available in English.
Do I need to attend my child’s appointment?
No, you do not need to attend your child’s appointment. However, if you still insist on attending the appointment, we will contact you soon and make an appointment to see your child at DPV Health.

Food Relief
We understand that the increased cost of living has had a large impact on the community. There are lots of people who are now finding it challenging and are struggling to afford some of the basic essentials.
If you, or someone you know are having a tough time, there are supports available!

The Foodbank Victoria website provides the option to find food relief services across the state of Victoria for those who may need it.

Kids Helpline is a 24/7 free counselling service available by phone call, online chat or email available specifically for children from 5 – 25 years old.
You can call 1800 55 1800 or click the link below the access the website and click on the 'Get Help' tab for more information.
The Circle
Designed for ‘Neurodivergence’, 'My Circle' by Kids Helpline allows 12 – 25 year olds talk about their experiences around Autism, ADHD, sensory issues and more. Supported by Kids Helpline counsellors, the free, private, safe and confidential social platform allows 12 – 25 year olds talk to other young people going through challenges similar to them.

Their free telephone and online counselling service is open 24/7 for everyone in Australia. No matter who you are, or how you're feeling, reach out to their free counselling services for support and they'll point you in the right direction so you can get the help you need.
