Secondary Sub School Rooms 19 - 27

Hello everyone 

Weeks 9 and 10 have been very exciting for the secondaries. Students loved being on stage and performing for the production 'Around the World.' We also celebrated House Colours day with a disco and gaming tournament. Students have shown their personal and social skills during these times by sharing, waiting and praising others. Throughout the term, students have continued to develop resilience and confidence and have achieved great successes!  Well done! 

Bill will be returning for the start of Term 4 and I will resume teaching Room 24. I have really enjoyed the last couple of weeks getting to know more of the secondary students and seeing the amazing work they do!

Room 22

This term, Room 22 students have made great progress in their School-Based Apprenticeships (SBAT) and VET courses, with everyone thoroughly enjoying their learning and hands-on experiences. Some students also took part in work experience at Brite Industries in Broadmeadows, where they worked in the warehouse packaging various items, gaining valuable skills.

A major project this term has been the beginning of the production of the students' documentary titled "Community on the Spectrum". Excitingly, the students are organising a fundraiser in Term 4 to raise money for post-production costs and film festival submissions. They are deeply thankful to Woolworths Broadmeadows who have generously offered to provide all the supplies for the fundraiser.

In other exciting news, Room 22 went on an excursion to Hoyts Cinemas in Broadmeadows, where they watched "Inside Out 2" in a private screening! The students absolutely loved the movie and enjoyed the opportunity to see it on the big screen. Afterwards, lunch at the food court was a hit, with KFC being the students' favourite choice.

This term, the students missed having Liz in the classroom as she was on long service leave, but they were lucky to have Mahnaz step in and support them throughout the term. Thank you, Mahnaz, for all your dedication and hard work!

Now, Room 22 is looking forward to a well-deserved break during the Term 3 school holidays and are excited for the adventures awaiting in Term 4. Wishing everyone a relaxing and joyful Spring break!
