End of Term 3

On behalf of the JSA staff, we would like to wish our students, families/carers a very safe and joyful Term 3 break. May you enjoy this time to connect with family and friends and to participate in activities that you all enjoy. We look forward to our student's return in Term 4, where we will embark on another jam packed term filled with many exciting programs and events 

 

Please make note of the upcoming dates:

 

End of Term 3: Friday 20th September at 2pm (early dismissal)

Start of Term 4: Monday 7th October. 

 

Semester 2 IEPs

Your child's Semester 2 IEP will be distributed to you on Friday, 20th September.

It is accessible via XUNO or in hard copy, by special request.

 

 

Mental Health Awareness Month – October

The school will be celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month during the month of October. To support engagement and participation, students will be exploring and completing a series of activities and events to raise awareness.  This includes:

  • Week 1: Mindfulness – Book focus: Have you filled a Bucket today. 
  • Week 2: Personal Strengths & Movement – Book focus:  Kindness is my superpower.
  • Week 3: Problem Solving & Growth Mindset - Book focus Giraffes Can’t Dance (Primary-Middle) The most magnificent Thing (Middle – Secondary). 
  • Week 4: Self-Awareness and regulation – Book Focus: The Colour Monster (primary – secondary) In My Feelings chapter 1 (advanced secondary). 
  • Dane and Yoga movement activities. 
  • Newsletter articles related to how to support your child’s wellbeing at home, linking nutrition to mental health
  • OHS bulletin on creating mental health workplaces
  • Superhero Dress Up Day
  • Whole-School Brainstorm Productions ‘Sticks and Stones’ Incursion to address bullying prevention- Wednesday 16th October.
