LOOK WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN AUSLAN AT MPHPS
Hello everyone,
Welcome back to everyone. We had a great start to our term in the Auslan classroom. It’s so good to see students practising the signs they have learnt. Wishing everyone a fabulous term.
SIGNS OF THE WEEK
Our signs of the week will resume next week.
IN THE CLASSROOM
Years 3 – Students have been learning words related to parts of the body in Auslan.
Year 4 – Students have been revising signs related to following directions in Auslan.
Year 5 – Students have learning signs related to describing themselves in Auslan.
Year 6 – Students have been revising signs related to descriptive words in Auslan.
Deaf people do not usually see themselves as disabled or impaired and dislike being referred to as “hearing impaired”. They see themselves as “normal Deaf people” not as “people with impaired hearing”.
