Be Strong and Courageous
A Chapter from Mrs Hulme’s Faith Story
- Can you share the story about the time when you first remember hearing about God?
- Can you tell us about a time when it was hard to trust God?
- Can you tell us about a bible verse or story that is important to you and why?
- If you could describe Jesus in 3 separate words, which ones would they be?
Click on the link to see Georgie interview Mrs Hulme, one of our valued staff members, asking these questions (among others) as we get to know more of her faith story. You might also like to ask these same questions in your families at home!
P.S Mrs Hulme chose to describe Jesus using the words ‘strong, kind and sneaky’. She chose John 16:33 reminding us that while we will encounter trouble, Jesus victory on the cross means he has the final say. Mrs Hulme also finds peace and comfort in the words from Psalm 116:7 ‘Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.’ (NIV). One of Mrs Hulme’s favourite worship songs that we have at Good Shepherd is ‘Be strong and courageous’ by Colin Buchanan.
What’s yours?
Have a wonderful week!
