From the Principal

A final word from outgoing Principal Sue Carroll

Benvenuto - Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

It with such mixed emotions I write this address for the final time and I ask for your indulgence in the following. These last weeks have given me the opportunity to reflect on my time here at the college with great fondness and pride. Starting out at the college in 2019, being Principal of St Anne’s College was not even a thought in my mind. I was just so excited to have a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of building a school community from the ground up, with the circumstances that followed, I was blessed to take on the role of Principal.

This role has brought with it many joys and great times, but also many challenges. Being a leader of a school community in the current day is one of great responsibility and privilege, being a leader of a Catholic school community, even more so. This is a role I embraced with all that I have, I have tried to lead with humility, love and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the community.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the St Anne’s College community, students, staff and families for the incredible amount of support, positivity and commitment, afforded to me in my role, but of far more importance to the growth and development of the college.

St Anne’s College is a unique environment focussed on human flourishing and growth for all its members. The examples throughout this newsletter each and every week are beautiful examples of children and young people being and doing their best. As a community, we have shared an incredible journey together. I am so proud of our students, who continually inspire us with their creativity and resilience. It has been a joy to witness their growth and to celebrate their successes, both big and small.

To the dedicated staff, my greatest thanks for your unwavering commitment and passion. Your hard work has made our school a wonderful place for students to thrive. And to the parents and families, your support has been invaluable in fostering a strong partnership that enhances our community.

As I move on to the next chapter of my life, I carry with me cherished memories and a deep appreciation for each of you. I am excited to see how St Anne’s College continues to grow and flourish in the years to come. For the last time…Remember to always find JOY in your life and appreciate the incredible people who support you unconditionally.
