We have much to celebrate!
Our Year 9 Creative Edge team has made it through to this year's State Final! Congratulations to Sienna, Sacha, Xavia, Cassandra, Shylee and Makayla. Making the finals was a very competitive process. This is the first time we have a team represent our College in the State Final, which will be held at Curtin on 14 September (Saturday).
The judges loved their performance in the Six Week Challenge, particularly due to their creative and critical thinking in relation to the impact of AI on the Arts. The judges were also very impressed with their very creative response to the Impromptu Challenge.
Just as impressive was our Year 7 team comprising Aoibhe, Makala, Adele, Jasmine, Eila and Lilah! They have been awarded Honours, and they also won the Creativity Award! For this, they will receive the Perpetual Trophy. Earning these awards means that they were the highest-ranked Impromptu Team out of all the Creative Edge events and divisions! This is a very prestigious award indeed.
Well done again everyone! We are so very proud of you all!
Zoe (Year 8) is set to shine on a bigger stage, as she heads off to New South Wales at the end of September to represent Baseball WA in the 2024 Barclay Cup!
Zoe honed her skills playing for Byford Bushrangers Inc - Tee-ball, Baseball, Softball. Her dedication and talent are now taking her places.
We are so very proud of her achievements thus far, and can't wait to hear about her wonderful experiences when she returns. Go Zoe!
