Student Wellbeing
Hi, everyone,
Holidays are just around the corner. Before we start to unwind, here is a checklist as the term rounds to an close:-
RAINBOWS
The closing date for parent’s expression of interest is Friday 13th September. If you feel your child/ren may benefit from this program and you would like them to be considered, please complete the form which was sent home in Week 5.
Word around the table at Rainbows this week has been that some forms did not reach home or have been lost! If you have asked your child to bring a form home this week, they were handed out on Tuesday 😊
GRATITUDE
The gratitude jar is now in Student Services and it would be great if you could take the time to acknowledge a staff member or the college as a collective. There has been so much going on throughout the college and our fuel as a staff can be from someone taking the time to give some positive recognition.
If you work and are unable to attend the college, you can write an acknowledgement and ask your child to drop it in to student services. Thanks 😊
MARANATHA
You will be aware that at Salvado Catholic College, we practise Christian Meditation in the form of Maranatha. I experience the joy of leading both students and staff in Maranatha in their learning spaces. Our daily practice of Maranatha has been nominated (Catholic Identity) together with a nomination “Kaadadjinny” (Community) for the CEWA QCE (Quality Catholic Education) Awards.
We need your support to take a moment to vote for our College. Your vote can make a big difference. (Please note that each individual is entitled to only one vote, so please spread the word and encourage your family and friends to vote as well!)
Vote for one of the following:
1. Catholic Identity - Maranatha Program (https://awards.cewa.edu.au/.../maranatha-christian.../)
2. Community - Kaadadjinny (https://awards.cewa.edu.au/nomination/kaadadjinny/#)
Voting is now open until 29 September 2024 (Sunday). Please cast your vote before the due date.
Enjoy your holidays and spending time with each other.
Until next time 😊
