Japanese

It has been a delight to see students become so confident about what they have been learning this term.

Foundation students can say body parts in Japanese much more fluently now. They can now identify body parts just by looking at the Hiragana and Kanji letters

Year 1 and 2 students can now fluently say words related to stationery items. The current project is making a paper pouch that resembles a bag which they can put their stationery items in. Each item has the Hiragana written on it for quick reference. They will then be doing activities that will require them to recall the words and they will enjoy pulling out the items whilst getting a strong visual connection between the items and the words.

Year 3 and 4 started making a mini food book in Japanese. It can be very tricky to write some Hiragana letters, but a lot of students gave it a go. When they have completed the books, they will be reading each other's books and they will feel a lot of satisfaction being able to do so.

Looking forward to seeing them having more fun in learning Japanese!
