Year 11 Biology & Vis Com Excursion to Werribee Zoo
Werribee Zoo
The Year 11 Biology class, Year 11 Vis. Com. class and some KSC Enviro Group members had the opportunity to visit Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Year 11 Biology were studying animal adaptations and survival, and how Zoos Victoria manage biodiversity and support species conservation. This is part of their Unit 2 assessments.
The KSC Enviro group are looking at how they can help the work of the Gorilla Doctors, who provide life-saving medical care to wild gorilla populations. They are considering a mobile phone recycling project somewhere down the track to aid in this project.
And Vis Comm students were researching how they could improve the way the public access information at the zoo and some interactive ideas that could help this.
It was a fantastic day.
