Grade 3 Report

We love literature! 

This term the Grade 3 students are reading another Roald Dahl Classic ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Everyone is enjoying it immensely, each week we read a few chapters and do an activity related to the book. We’d won the golden ticket, designed chocolate wrappers and discussed the different character traits. 

I like Charlie Bucket because he is really kind to others, is really smart, very grateful and shares with his family - Estelle C

My favourite character is Violet because she is always chewing gum and sticks it 

behind her ear. - Etta E

I think it was funny when they chanted at Augustus Goop because he was 

spoilt. - Serene D

My favourite character is Grandpa Joe because he is really funny and sweet. - Emily W

I like when Charlie won the Golden Ticket. - Isaac C

I like how the songs in it rhyme and have jokes, I also like Charlie, he was so lucky to find the golden ticket. - Reed D

I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is good book because it is full 

of surprises. - Oscar C

The book is good because you never know what is going to happen next and

My favourite character is Charlie because he is really calm. I also wonder
