From the Head of Sport

This is a reminder to all students that summer sport training will be run next term commencing first day back. All students are expected to attend training on a weekly basis. First games will commence on the 14th October for Firsts Basketball teams. BMGS will be hosting the Pre-season for boys so come along and support the BMGS First V Boys team. The girls will be heading off to Sydney for games. All other games commence on 21st October.

Congratulations - Rugby

Congratulations to Hunter Costigan (Year 8) who has been selected as a member of both the Penrith District Rugby XV and 7s team with the competition for the 7s commencing in Forster this weekend. We wish him all the best for this event.

Congratulations - Basketball

Last weekend Eric Downes (Year 10) trialled for the NSW Country Junior Basketball Cup squad. Eric was successful in being selected in this squad that will compete in Albury in January 2024. We wish him well in this competition.

Congratulations - Athletics

Results just in from the ISA Athletics Carnival. BMGS took home the shields for:

• Junior Boys Div 2
• Senior Boys Div 2
• Intermediate Girls Div 2
• Division 2 Boys Champions
• Division 2 Girls Champions 

This is an outstanding achievement for our BMGS Athletes and I thank all those who attended the Carnival for their contributions.

Sports Uniforms

Summer teams have been named and placed on the Sports noticeboard. Pease see Mrs Olmos in the Uniform Shop to confirm that your uniform from last season fits and the number on your singlet. If you are new to the sport please go to the Uniform Shop to order your uniform. This must be done before the end of term to ensure uniforms are ready for Term 4.
