Year 8 Walk-a-Thon

Last Thursday all the boys in Year 8 participated in a charity Walk-a-Thon to raise money for Caritas Australia, their charity partner for 2023. The boys had been busy seeking sponsorship in the weeks leading up to the walk. Having gathered in homeroom groups with their homeroom teachers, they set out to walk a 10km circuit around the streets of Strathfield. Upon their return they enjoyed a barbecue lunch cooked for them by Mr Biviano, some of the homeroom teachers and some volunteer chefs from Year 10. The day concluded with a short presentation from Caritas in the Robson Auditorium followed by some games on the back ovals. 

The boys are to be congratulated for their efforts and raised over $6,000 for their charity partner. Well done boys! Special thanks to all the homeroom teachers who joined the walk and to Mr Biviano for his support and organisation.
