Nutrition Week

National Nutrition Week is 16th -20th October. Try for 5 is an annual awareness campaign by Nutrition Australia during National Nutrition Week in October that celebrates vegetables and the important role they can play in our health and wellbeing. The focus of the 2023 campaign is to inspire Australians to ‘Get the most out of your veg’. To promote Nutrition Week the Health and Wellbeing team and student parliamentarians have organised daily activities for students.

  • The Canteen will be featuring a new snack item: Apple Crumble Yoghurt (tinned pie apple, vanilla yoghurt, rolled oats & cinnamon) which will be available on QKR and over the counter for $1.00
  • The Parliamentarians will have a “Feely Box” where students can try to guess the vegetable, a nutrition trivia quiz and a “Where’s the Carrot?” that will be hidden in a different location around the school each day for students find.
  • The “Hole in the Wall” will take place on Wednesday.
  • At lunch time on Friday there will be zucchini and feta muffins available for free taste testing.

Stay safe,
