Foundation Enrolment & Transition 2024 – IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This week we had the first of our 4 ‘Fly into Foundation’ transition sessions for students starting school in 2024. We have a large cohort of students commencing next year, with the expectation of two Foundation classes for next year. During the session time for children today, parents had the opportunity to meet with myself and ask questions about many aspects of life at school, and particularly about special events, programs, afterschool care, extra-curricular activities, and more. It was great to meet so many new families and also chat to several familiar faces who have siblings starting with ARPS in 2024. I am sure the next parent session during the Foundation transition session in two weeks time, will also be very informative for all.

Our ‘Fly into Foundation’ transition program dates are as follows:

There will be parent sessions running for each of the Foundation Transition sessions. The sessions include a Q&A with the principal, information about support for students with special needs, supporting children to read at home, involvement in school community, and more.

Transition – Year 6-7

Albany Rise Primary School will be offering a range of Transition activities in association with local secondary school over coming weeks. The first of these is our visit to Wellington Secondary College on 30th August for a matinee performance of ‘Frozen’ by students at the college.

All students in Year 6 now have their confirmed secondary school placements for 2023.
