School Strategic Plan
St Columba's Elwood: Strategic Plan Input Session
Parent Session Oct 24th 2:30pm to 3:20pm
Background for this Session:
The school is in its last year of a 5-year Strategic Plan which has been almost completely implemented. The School Advisory Board is assisting the school’s leadership in developing the Strategic Plan for the next 3 to 5 years.
As a critically important stakeholder in the future success of our school we plan to regularly communicate and welcome your continued input. Previously collected input from parents will also be inputted to the process.
On Oct 24th for those parents who can attend there will be a structured brainstorming session to get your input and ideas which will be used as we develop the school’s strategic plan.
Purpose of the Session:
We will aim to get input on 2 key areas from a school parent’s viewpoint:
- What is going well, what needs improvement?
- Your ideas on what is important and possible future improvement across the following categories:
- Facilities
- Academic Excellence
- Attracting & Retaining Quality Staff
- Catholic Identity
- Community (Parents, Staff, Students, Parish & wider community)
- Student Learning Experience, wellbeing & resilience
- School Growth
Session format will be interactive using idea collection, idea clustering and will be facilitated by one of the Advisory Board members. Input will be collated and will not be identifiable by parent.
