Meet Holly!

Holly is currently completing her third year of her psychology bachelor’s with the hopes of becoming a registered psychologist in the future.

Holly has been in her current AHA position for almost two years!

Holly currently plays a large role in organising and assisting in group programs at Carina. She is also able to assist clients with individual sessions to support progress through collaboration with our psychologists.

Holly enjoys attending mental health expos where she can to provide information about our services and share her own experiences. In her free time, Holly enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and keeping up with her study.

To make an appointment with Holly, please call the Carina clinic directly or email carina@earlystartaustralia.com.au.

Many ESA clinics have Allied Health Assistants. If you are looking to boost your child's therapy program, fast track their progress and increase their support network, our AHAs can help. Call your local clinic to find out more.

Meet our Provisional Psychologists at Carina

Our Provisional Psychologists are tertiary qualified and completing their final year as interns under supervision in order to achieve their full registration.

Provisional Psychologists have experience with supporting children and families across a range of areas. At Early Start Australia we offer therapy with our Provisional Psychologists at a reduced rate - making therapy even more accessible to families! NDIS funding can also be used to access therapy with a Provisional Psychologist.

Meet Mandy

Mandy is a warm and understanding Provisional Psychologist who is passionate about working with children, families, parents, young people and adults, addressing a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, and mental health concerns. She aims to create a welcoming and safe therapeutic environment with a person-centred approach, incorporate therapeutic aspects from other modalities, such as cognitive behaviour therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, tailored to individual needs. She believes in play based therapeutic approaches when working with children, and recognises the importance of incorporating parenting practices to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Mandy enjoys working with both adults and children. A special interest of hers is perinatal psychology and the transition to parenthood (which she studied as part of her PhD in Psychology), including antenatal or postnatal depression or anxiety, adjustment and parenting difficulties, and how to navigate the first 12 months with a new baby.

Outside of work, Mandy enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children. She also likes to enjoy the simple things in life such as going to the beach or a park for a picnic, and catching up with friends for coffee.

Meet Julia

Julia is a passionate and motivated Provisional Psychologist who recently moved to Brisbane. Julia has been studying psychology since 2018.

Julia’s passion is providing supports in early intervention and recognises the importance of working with both children and families in the clinic and community settings.

We are so excited to have Julia bringing her experience and fun loving nature to our ever growing team.

Julia has specific interest in using client-centred approach and evidence-based practice with children, youth, and families, using a collaborative approach to meet needs and goals.

Julia has experience providing group and individual psychological treatment and intervention for a variety of client presentations, including but not limited to:
