From Alison Dietrich

Deputy Principal - Wellbeing

As we continue to foster a supportive and thriving educational environment at St Aug’s, we want to share some exciting updates and important resources with our school community. From our recent successes in implementing effective classroom routines to enhancing our volunteer induction process and sharing mental health resources, we're committed to ensuring our students and families have the best possible experience at our school.

Classroom Mastery

We are pleased to share our staff's positive feedback from Yolanda at Knowledge Society about the Classroom Mastery Entry, Exit and Cue to Start routines. In her email following her visit, Yolanda said, "Your school is exceptional in implementing these routines -this success is a testament to you, your leadership team, all the staff, and students. It has been an honour to witness your school in action." Our staff's commitment to these routines is vital in creating a calm, safe and predictable learning environment for our students.

Volunteer Inductions Moving Online!

We are excited to announce that, during Term 2, the volunteer induction process will move to an online format. This change will allow our volunteers to complete the required induction at their own convenience. We will provide information on accessing the online induction as more details become available.

As part of this induction, all volunteers - including parents, grandparents, friends and caregivers who currently assist or plan to assist at the school - will need to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is free for volunteers and can be applied for at Working with Children Check | vic.gov.au. You can apply for a WWCC prior to completing the online induction.
