Project Compassion

This Lent, our school community is excited to support the launch of Caritas Australia’s 2025 Project Compassion campaign. Caritas Australia is an agency dedicated to humanitarian aid, supporting vulnerable communities both in Australia and around the world. Through education, sustainable development, and emergency relief, Caritas works to create lasting change for those in need.

To help our students understand the importance of this initiative, teachers have received resources to guide classroom discussions and reflections. These materials highlight the impact of Caritas’ work and encourage students to think about how they can contribute to a more just and compassionate world.

Each class has been provided with a Caritas donation box, where students and families can begin contributing to this vital cause. Every donation, no matter how small, helps make a difference in the lives of people facing poverty and hardship.

As part of our fundraising efforts, we will be holding a special dress up event on Harmony Day, where students will have the opportunity to celebrate cultural diversity while also supporting Caritas Australia. On this day, we invite students to bring a gold coin donation, which will go directly to Caritas to aid their ongoing projects.

We encourage families to continue these conversations at home, exploring ways to give, reflect, and take action during Lent. Together, we can embody the spirit of compassion and generosity, making a real impact in the lives of those who need it most.
