Game Changers

Updates from Term 1

To foster engagement and strengthen connections, Term 1 marked the beginning of the Game Changers program for 2025, with our first group of Year 9 students diving in with enthusiasm and energy.

During the Project Sunbury initiative, students chose to explore a variety of interests including: investigating how to make slime and playdough, trying new recipes and making cookbooks. These projects enabled students to delve into topics that sparked their interest and creativity.

Off campus activities were a highlight for many students in Term 1. This included heading to Kismet Park Primary where Sunbury College students worked with the primary students teaching them games and sports. It also included fortnightly excursions.

Our first excursion was a trip to the city to explore exhibitions, laneways, and the sights of Melbourne. This was followed by the physical challenge of learning to Ice Skate at O’Brien Icehouse. Our third and final excursion was to Adventure Rooms Melbourne, where students were challenged to think critically and work collaboratively to solve puzzles for their escape.

We look forward to celebrating the group’s success during the graduation ceremony at the end of Term 1.
