2025 School Council 

Introducing some of our School Council members for 2025!

My name is Vince Scarfo.  I have Robert in 1B and Nicholas is 3B, who currently attend. My 2 older boys previously attended Mackellar Anthony and Marcus who are now in high school.  

I joined school council to help in establishing and maintaining a school environment that all kids would be proud to say they have attended. Through programs for both teachers and students, to updating of facilities I believe we are creating this environment. We are connecting better with parents and the community with an positive increase of community involvement throughout the school and school events. Our students are well versed in our values and have quite an understanding of SWPBS. It is wonderful hearing from our junior council with new ideas that the students are constantly coming up with and have been able to implement.  It has been great to be a part of Mackellar's wonderful growth through the hard work of the staff, students and parents over the last 10 years.  Outside of work and school I enjoy the outdoors, fishing, camping, gardening/farming, music, working on cars, working with my hands, cooking, and spending time with my family.  

Hi all, my name is Christine Stojanoski and I have been a school council representative since 2021.

My son Alexander is now in grade 4, and my daughter Sophia is in grade 1.

I joined the school council as a way to keep informed on what is happening with the school and be a voice for parents to advocate for our kids.

Being on the school council is a very rewarding experience, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with other parents and teachers.

I have certainly learned a lot about how the school works, and have a deep appreciation for all the 'behind the scenes' hard work the teachers put in to make Mackellar such a fabulous school for our children.

Outside of school, I love to go out on adventures with my family (especially involving a nice drive to find a great bakery) and also bellydance.

My name is Connie Scarfo, my children are Nicholas in 3B and Robert in 1B.  I decided to join the school council to be more involved with the school, and help make it an even better place. I love helping with school events, exciting fundraisers and bringing new ideas to the table.  My interests and hobbies, are reading, going to the movies, spending time with my family and catching up with friends.

Hi I’m Lizz! I have a son named Lucian in year 2 and a daughter Kalani in year 1. I joined school council so I could have a say in what goes on in the school and help make decisions about the school. Since I’m from the states I also joined so I could get to know the school system better in Australia. I teach cheerleading at the school during lunch and I love reading mystery books!
