Principal's Report 

 Dear Parents, 

This fortnight started with a four day break for our students.  On Tuesday March 11, the teachers honed their skills in teaching mathematics, working on future inquiries with students, and undertaking further works in relation to Disability Inclusion.  Our Educational Support Staff worked with a speech pathologist, to further develop their understanding of Colourful Semantics.

Parents of students in grades three and five will know that their child/ren have started their NAPLAN testing and this will continue into this week.  Students have approached their testing with confidence which is reassuring to see. If parents have any questions about NAPLAN, please be sure to see your child's classroom teacher, or Shelley Wockner who is our NAPLAN coordinator. 

Monday March 17th was the start of Harmony Week at Mackellar.  We were treated to many different dance and singing performances from cultures represented at our school.  We are grateful to the families that shared their traditions, and to all families that shared in our morning activities.
