Principal's Award - Phillip Mercuri
This week's Principal's Award goes to Phillip Mercuri. Phillip always goes out of his way to display compassion to others in need, regardless of age. An example of this is earlier this week he noticed a Foundation student sitting by themselves, upset during eating time. Phillip didn't know the student but asked if he would like some company. He then sat with him, and they ate lunch together.
He is also a wonderful example of what a respectful student looks like at Sacred Heart, with his exuberant good mornings. When Phillip asks how you are, or what you have been up to, he genuinely listens to your responses and asks follow up questions accordingly.

Principal's Award - Sophia Cricelli
This week's Principal's Award goes to Sophia Cricelli. Sophia showed the Mercy value of hospitality this week as she excelled in her role as Year 6 Sports Leader. She noticed that younger students needed a safer tee-ball bat and tee-ball stand during their lunchtime play. Sophia took it upon herself to gather the equipment and supply it to them. This occurred during her lunch break where she could have been playing with her friends, but Sophia chose to demonstrate commitment to her leadership role and capacity to care for others.
In addition, Sophia is a positive role model in her classroom. She is particularly responsible and always willing to help.
