PE & Sport Update
It has been a fantastic start to the year in Physical Education, with students across all year levels engaging in exciting activities and representing Moriac Primary School with pride.
Last week, our Grade 5/6 students competed in the SSA Soccer competition, demonstrating great teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see them play with such pride while having a fantastic time on the field. Well done to all involved!
Looking ahead, our SSA Girls AFL 9’s team is gearing up for their upcoming fun day. Training will take place for the remainder of the term under the guidance of Mr. Jacobs—thanks, Will! We can’t wait to see the team in action.
Congratulations to our SSA Cross Country team, who have now been selected after three competitive trial sessions. We wish all our representatives the best of luck as they compete at Eastern Gardens on March 25th.
In Physical Education classes, our Foundation to Year 2 students continue to build their fundamental movement skills through engaging and inclusive games. This remains our focus for Term 1 as we support their development in a fun and encouraging environment. Meanwhile, our Year 3-6 students are now shifting into Athletics training, preparing for the SSV Athletics event in Term 2, where all students will have the opportunity to compete.
It’s been a fantastic term so far—well done to all students for their efforts in sport and PE!
