Our Staff

Welcome to our new staff members for 2025!
Jacqueline Hope
With a passion for history, genealogy, data, reading, cooking, and travel, I thrive on learning and connecting with others. I've been a primary teacher for 20 years following 5 years as a university lecturer and tutor and hold a doctorate in history. I'm the proud mum to a wonderful 14 year old daughter, Arianna, and have been happily married to Peter for 20 years. I'm excited to join the Grade 3/4 team at St Anne's this year and look forward to working with both students and colleagues.
Laura Bradbury
Hi, I'm Laura and I'm excited to join the St Anne's College community as the primary Performing Arts teacher. I have previously taught at Sacred Heart in Tatura before having some time off to have my two girls in 2021 and 2024. I'm looking forward to returning to the classroom. In my spare time I love to crochet, read, play games and spend time with family - whether that's locally with my husband's family or in Warrnambool with mine. Please say hello if you see me around the College - I am looking forward to getting to know the students and their families!
Georgia Sofra
Hi all! I am Georgia but also go by Sports or Sof. I am a massive nerd who loves maths and have spent the last five years teaching at Notre Dame. I am a Shepparton girl, born and raised, and grew up working in our family bookshop. I have a wonderful partner, Brock, who teaches Year 5/6 at St Brendan’s and have two Jack Russels, Handsome and Lady. If I am not here, you will find me relaxing at home or doing Head Trainer duties at the Shepparton Bears. I am super excited to join the St Anne’s College family teaching Senior Mathematics and being Mathematics Coordinator, as well as being able to walk to work. See you around :)
Launching Magnify Sandhurst
Last week St Anne's College joined 51 schools who came together to launch 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐭.
This new approach to the curriculum brings together every student, every teacher, every school, every day with a combined approach to learning. It places teachers at the forefront, emphasising their role in delivering a knowledge-rich curriculum and learner skills. Neuroscience supports Magnify Sandhurst, highlighting its importance in learning and retaining key skills and knowledge.
During the launch we heard from Kate Fogarty, Executive Director of Catholic Education and Bishop Shane Mackinlay for a welcome where they said Magnify puts students at the centre, bringing the best learning and teaching, derived from extensive research of learning and teaching practices to provide us with data we can respond to.
The lively event included guest speakers, student videos and many live crosses to participating schools showcasing their varied celebrations including cupcakes, t-shirts, decorations, props, poetry and balloons. St Anne’s was chosen for a live cross where, Jamie McDowall from CES joined Principal Anthony Butts with a group of staff members to show off the St Anne’s College energy.
The launch was a great way to help to create momentum and excitement for Magnify Sandhurst as well as build on the work that has already been completed to date.
Excitement is definitely building here at St Anne’s College, as the school year draws closer. Together we can do this, let’s run towards change!
Last week teaching staff also attended a professional training day on Knowledge Society behaviour curriculum.
Congratulations Jess and family
Congratulations to Learning Support Officer Jess and partner Brenton for the safe arrival of their third child.
They welcomed a baby girl - Heidi Brook Doyle on January 25 at 7:15pm weighing 4645g or 10lb 3oz.
Heidi is absolutely adored by her big sister and brother already!
Justice of the Peace on Staff!
Here at St Anne's College we have our wonderful learning mentor, Ellie Phillips who is also a Justice of the Peace.
Ellie says ... I am a Justice of the Peace officer and am available to sign statutory declarations, witness signatures and certify documents for members of the community. This is a free service. I work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and am happy to assist during non-teaching times, including before school, break times and after school.
Please send Ellie an email to organise a suitable time.
