Foundation students will have the opportunity to consolidate their learning from the year by combining fundamental movement skills to create dynamic movement sequences. They will engage in both team and individual games, practicing their coordination, balance, and spatial awareness, while building confidence in their abilities.
Grade 1/2 students will continue to strengthen their fundamental skills by participating in a variety of team games, both with and without equipment. They will focus on improving their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities as they work together in different game scenarios. These activities will encourage cooperation, fairness, and the development of positive relationships with their peers.
Grade 3/4 students will explore new ways to play games by experimenting with different equipment and adapting the rules to increase the challenge. They will reflect on how adjusting rules and adding new elements can make games more exciting and engaging, while developing their understanding of strategy and cooperation in group settings.
Grade 5/6 students will take their game-playing to the next level by experimenting with different rules and strategies in both team and individual settings. They will explore how changing rules can impact fairness and competition and reflect on how effective their strategies are when working as a team. This process will help them better understand leadership, critical thinking, and the importance of collaboration in team sports.
