Welcome back for the 2025 school year to our returning families as well as a huge welcome to our new families.  

Lots and lots of things to do on Compass already so please log in and check your child's account to give them permission for; 

• afternoon travel arrangements 

• media consent 

• Mass and practice attendance consent

• swimming carnival

• and if required the Medication Register.  

Swimming Carnival permissions will also go out this week in readiness for our carnival on the 19th of February. Thank you to the many families who have already completed these tasks.  

Afternoon Travel Arrangements:  This is for your child's 'usual' arrangements.  If you need to make changes, please email; quiadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au  before 2pm.  This is our preferred process to ensure changes are made correctly to the shared travel document.  If you have an urgent change after 2pm you can ring the office on 67461033. 

Media Consent:  Every year we need to gather media consent for all students.  If you do not give permission for this please press the decline option in the event. 

Medication Register:  Even though we have set up a new medication register in Compass events which is working well, we will still need you to fill in the paper copy of Appendix 1 for the classrooms so that the teachers have quick access for information regarding asthma etc.  

We are sending home paper forms today for anyone who has sent their puffers and spacers in already.  Forms are also available in the front office. 

Please remember that all medications were sent home at the end of last year.  If your child requires ventolin, asmol or any other form of medication you will need to send in a new supply for 2025 - making sure it is in date -  and fill in an Appendix 1 form. 

Attendance

Student attendance is vital in the school environment.  The class roll is the most important document in the school so students need to be at school before 8:50 am so that they are marked on the roll as present for the full day. 

All absences must be explained on Compass within 7 days of the absence.  You will receive an alert on the day of the absence that your child is not at school, if you have not put in an attendance note prior to 9am. You will also receive an alert on the Friday of that week at 11am to say you have unexplained absences.  

Front Office Sign in and sign out

Parents and guardians entering the school grounds for any reason need to sign in at the front office via the Kiosk.  This is a mandatory safety guideline that must be adhered to.

Front Garden

Please make sure children stay out of the garden beds at the front of the school.  There may be snakes or spiders and we also need to look after the plants that are in there. Greg does a wonderful job in maintaining the beds and will be putting in new plants when Autumn starts.

Back to school requirements:  

Each child will need to have their own:  

• Art shirt – labelled
• Library bag
• Textas and/or special pencils they may want to use
• Highlighters - yellow, pink, green, blue for vcop writing
• Headphones or earbuds 
• Extra pens / pencils as back up
• Pencil case 
• Scissors
• Years 5/6 need a geometry set 
• Pencil sharpener

**Homework satchels are now available through Compass for the 2025 School year. They will cost $15 and are great quality.  These are not library bags but to be used for homework, sight words etc. **

2025 SCHOOL FEE STRUCTURE - ESTIMATE (there may be a slight variation due to the way Compass computes percentages).  

For 2025 there are changes to the way school fees will be billed.  If you did not receive an email regarding these changes please contact the school.  The following 2025 school fee schedule was also attached to the email.
