St Brendan's Day Celebrations

National Reconciliation Week at St Brendan's.

On Friday, the Year 5/6 students went to Yumarrala wetlands to observe the birdlife and collect rubbish to care for our Country. The Foundation to Year 4 students had Reconciliation Week activities back at school. On Monday, Hudson from Living Culture visited our school. He showed us his collection of Indigenous artefacts and told us how they were made and how they are used. Hudson helped a group of students plant bush medicine and bush tucker plants in our Indigenous garden. We really enjoyed our day and now we can enjoy using our garden while learning about Indigenous cultures. 

Mrs Riddell took us down to the Yumarrala wetlands and we looked for native and introduced species of birds.
