Student Suggestions and Student Voice
Our Student Voice Team has introduced two new practices to better hear students' suggestions, problems, concerns, or challenges. These practices provide an additional avenue for students to share their thoughts, beyond just speaking with staff members or trusted adults in their lives.
A Google Form is available on the Student Portal where students can communicate anything they wish. For younger students, the SRC (Student Voice Team) has decided to act as a conduit, allowing these students to share their concerns or suggestions with the SRC members. The SRC can then either report these concerns or suggestions to me directly or fill out the Google Form on behalf of the younger students. To help younger students identify them, the older students have created a poster with their faces and names.
This initiative is a powerful way to ensure that every student knows they will always be heard and that there is always someone to talk to within the St Brendan’s Community.
Thank a First Responder
We're acknowledging and expressing gratitude to our school's first responders on Thank a First Responder Day, June 12th.
If you know a first responder in your family or within the St. Brendan community who deserves thanks, please email their name, profession, and a brief reason for our appreciation. The Student Voice Team will compile a video to share our gratitude with the community for their dedication to keeping us safe.
