Mortimer Shield Competition: A Day of Teamwork and Perseverance

Six of our students travelled to Gundagai this Thursday to participate in the Mortimer Shield Competition. They played four matches against other regional schools. Some of our students had experience playing league tag, while others were excited to represent their school for the first time. To complete our team, we were joined by two wonderful students from Gundagai South Public School, ensuring we met the minimum of seven players.

Although we didn't win any games, our kids gave it their all and never gave up, fighting for every ball until the final whistle. The experienced players guided those who were new to the game, sharing responsibilities and supporting their teammates throughout the competition. It was a day filled with teamwork, determination, and learning.
