PBL FOCUS

Positive Behaviour for Learning

At Peakhurst Public School we strive to have a school community that are safe, respectful, responsible active learners. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning is a framework to support schools to identify and successfully implement evidenced-based whole-school practices that enhance learning outcomes for children and young people.

Successful implementation comes when there is commitment from staff, students and community to discuss, reflect and engage in the expected behaviour focus.

Our Positive Behaviour for Learning focus for weeks 7 and 8 is targeting the language students are using when engaging in unstructured play during mornings, lunch and recess. The focus states: 'Be Respectful by following the instructions of the teacher in the classroom'.

Please support the school community in engaging in conversations with your family over this fortnight about the importance of following teacher instructions in the classroom to optimise learning time.
