Aboriginal Performance

Dion Drummond

In Term Three, we are very excited to welcome one of Australia’s most experienced Indigenous performers, Dion Drummond. His work as a dancer, singer, and storyteller is inspired by Mainland and Islander cultures.

In his dynamic, high-energy performances, Dion shares tales, language and artefacts from both of his cultures, teaching students about the different traditions of his Torres Strait Island and Aboriginal Indigenous heritage. Students participate in learning actions of songs and dances, and Dion highlights some important values, such as respect, with humour and energy.

The cost for this Aboriginal performance has been included on the Term Two invoice as it is taking place early in Term Three. A permission note will be released later in the term. We look forward to this wonderful event in Term Three.
