Cathedral Ranges Hike

Year 10 Cathedral Ranges Overnight Hike

The Year 10 Outdoor Education class participated in an overnight camp at the Cathedral Range State Park, where they hiked up to the North Jawbone Peak.

This was a challenging hike, but students were rewarded with excellent views of what remains of the rim of the volcano that erupted over 300 million years ago.

Students put into practice their camp cooking skills on Trangia’s, navigation and camp skills throughout the 2 days.

Although it rained on day 2, students were positive in their attitudes and completed 2 mores hikes on the day, including a hike to Stevensons Falls.
