Spanish at JFC

In 2024 we started a new Spanish program at Years 7 & 8, which we hope will go right through to Year 12 in the coming years. We have been very lucky in securing a native speaker, Ms Sara Gallego Gil, who has made a great impression on the school and students. Below is a short introduction from Sara and a photo of the year 8 students practising their speaking.

"¡Hola! Exciting things are happening in our Spanish classes here at JFC! Last term, students explored Spanish-speaking countries, their flags, locations, colours, greetings, farewells, and basic questions. This term,  they're diving into numbers, days of the week, months, as well as creating, translating, and reading conversations in Spanish. Our Year 8s are currently preparing for their speaking assessments, showcasing their growing confidence in Spanish. Spanish classes at JFC are on fire! From exploring vibrant cultures to mastering new language skills, our students are unstoppable. Stay tuned as they continue to impress and inspire! ¡Hasta pronto!"
