Grade 3 News

We have had the most fabulous two weeks in Grade 3, we have finished up Matilda and celebrated by watching the movie, we have been hard at work with “Off Around Australia We Go” and are seeing some wonderful family connections coming through.
Please remember the maps are due on Wednesday 2nd April. We are wanting to display them in our classrooms for the start of Term 2.
In Mathematics we have been consolidating and extending our knowledge of 2,3,4,5’s and 10 times tables and making connections to doubles.
Students have been leading the way with modelling expectations within Grade 3 and
St. Bernard's and 3 Elliot came away at the end of week 9 with the Bernie Trophy.
The Grade 3 teachers are so happy with the consistent effort being made by the students at home to read as often as they can and in week 9 were able to celebrate some students reaching 50 nights of reading for the term.
Please remember that we have an early finish on Friday the 4th and don't return until Monday 28th April.
Please see below for our award winners.
Jodie, Simone, Chloe and Louise pray that your Easter season is filled with hope and renewal of spirit.
