Foundation News

Welcome to the final week of Term 1!
We would like to thank all of you for your dedication and continued support throughout the term. We have seen tremendous growth in the students confidence and independence as they navigated their first term of school. We are very proud of their ability to adapt to new routines and learning, which has been truly inspiring.
This Wednesday at 9:15am, Foundations will experience their first liturgy in the Chapel with their Grade 6 buddies. Parents and family are invited to join us.
During the holidays we encourage students to continue to practise and revise the sounds for the letters that we have learnt so far and help them work out words using their sounds. Please use your child’s Home Reading Diary to support this and to know what letters have been covered during the term.
In Mathematics this week, students will be exploring simple 2D shapes and getting creative with shapes to create a shape monster and yummy pizza!
During the holidays students are encouraged to continue to explore numbers through number talks & games, such as board games or card games.
