Principal's message

We Remember past teacher Kath Wilson.

Recently, we farewelled Kath Wilson, a fondly remembered and dedicated teacher at

St. Bernard's.

Kath's last years were spent courageously battling illness.

Kath began her teaching career at St. Bernard's teaching here for 45 years, a monumental achievement in any career.

She was regarded as a great teacher by her students, parents and colleagues. She fulfilled many roles at St. Bernard's with commitment and compassion, including Deputy Principal.

Several staff members today fondly remember Kath, having been mentored and guided by her, as they began their teaching careers, other staff remember Kath as a loved teacher.  I'm sure many parents and grandparents in our school community remember Kath as their teacher and recall happy memories of her.

We will acknowledge Kath's contribution and dedication to St. Bernard's by planting a tree in our yard as a tribute to her.

Kath was a keen gardener and a beautiful shade tree for the future students of

St. Bernard's feels an appropriate acknowledgement.

Dear Parents,

Happy end of term day!!

Our children have had a great first term with lots of learning happening and many memorable events occurring.  We thank everyone who helped organise last Friday nights Food Truck evening, it was an outstanding success.  We were delighted with the number of families who participated, bringing along their picnic rugs, enjoying fine food and the company of other families. The children had an absolute ball.

The Big St. Bernard's Walk for Water.

Today, as part of our Caritas efforts, we walked The Big St. Bernard's Walk for Water to empathize with those children who have to walk long distances to get water for their families.

Children walked around our school yard, carrying buckets of water and learning about water usage across our world as they went. The gold coin donation can make a good change in other people’s lives. Our donation can help people out of poverty to live in dignity and safety. Thank you to our Social Justice student Leaders for helping Mrs. Saxby organise this.

Easter

Our Easter time occurs at the end of the school holidays, and we wish everyone the joy of the Risen Christ.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to bring us new life.

As we celebrate His resurrection, fill our hearts with joy, hope, and gratitude.

Help us to live in the light of His love and share His message of peace and salvation with others.

Amen.

Picking up children

We remind parents that if the person picking your child up at the end of the day is not the regular person, then please notify the office that this will be happening and who the person is.

If, for some unforeseen event happens and you need to have someone else pick your child up and the school hasn't been notified, then we will ring you to check.

This keeps all of our children safe.
